I’m on my brothers computer at the moment and for some inexplicable reason he has it set so that the font on every website is Comic Sans. I can’t tell if he’s just a dope and hasn’t realised or if he is trolling his life away.

I haven’t been posting very much since I’m in the middle of my mocks. In lieu of posting something actually interesting here’s some photos I took on my bus home from school a few weeks ago.

tmills: This is an exercise I use whenever I want to start complaining about something arbitrary: I imagine a world in which there is a feature length movie version of Salinger’s Franny and Zooey starring, well, take your pick of actresses typically cast as the manic pixie dream girl, and actors typically cast as broody smokey jaded dude. When I stop imagining such a world, I awaken to a reality...

Some of the things defendants were forced into saying at Stalin’s Show Trials are farcical.  “The question has been raised whether we were tortured while being investigated. I have to say that it was not I who was tortured, but it was I who tortured the investigators and made them do a lot of useless work”.

If the government really wanted to keep newspaper sales up they would allow a law to passed that allowed murderer’s to be pardoned on the grounds their murder was “fairly funny”. Newspaper sales would rocket as they reported the “wacky” and “zany” ways psychopaths and hardened criminals had murdered people this week.

As part of my portfolio (yes I know it’s all I talk about but the truth is it’s all I do) I needed to draw a bottle under different conditions. I instantly thought of melted glass. Considering one of the biggest names in glass manufacturing (Waterford Crystal) resides close to me I decided to drop in and see if they could do anything for me.

These were taken on a disposable camera on a trip to the sand dunes that reside at the bottom of my town several summers ago.

It’s January and I just killed the biggest wasp I’ve ever seen. I can’t even begin to fathom how it’s alive (I know we had a cold Summer and a mild Winter but January? Really?) and how it got to be in my living and how I spent an hour with it in the room before noticing it’s present. This whole situation just doesn’t make sense.

Hey do you think people who write the blurbs on the backs of books enjoy their job? Do you think they feel a longing for a time when they didn’t automatically compose blurb every time they read a book. Do you think this has stopped them enjoying books? Do they pine for a time when they could read a book without any obligations? Do you think they wish they could all pack it, travel to a...
